USA!! USA!! USA!!

Huge 2-0 win over Honduras last night to push us into the Gold Cup final. Our "C" team is kicking ass and taking names!
Sunday night we will once again be facing Mexico. We have both won the Gold Cup four times since its inception in 1991, leading the entire region (Mexico has actually won the region's championship four times). If we win Sunday night, it will be our fourth straight Gold Cup!
Mexico enters the championship game after narrowly defeating a tough Costa Rican team on penalties. Nearly the full 90 passed before the first goal was scored by Mexico; Costa Rica answered shortly after in stoppage to tie the game at the end of regulation. Following another 30 minutes of extra time, the game remained tied. In the penalties round, Mexico came out ahead 5-3.
The game kicks off at 8:00 pm Sunday night. Live coverage is available in English on FSC (Mediacom 212) and in Spanish on one of the Univision networks (I have FSC, so I have not clue which one).
Remember the Des Moines Menace are also playing tomorrow night in the second game of the PDL Heartland Division playoffs at 7:30 pm. The game is at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines.
