Bad news for all of you Shamrox fans out there (Adam Stillman & Mitch MCElman at the UofI included), the franchise has folded. Well, technically it has been suspended for the upcoming season. All of the Shamrox players have been dispersed throughout the league.League officials blame the economy and quietly redid the schedule. The truth is that the franchise has been for sale for over a year and was not drawing the type of crowds expected in a market like Chi-town. The owners were located on the west coast and found it difficult to run the team from afar.
Hopefully the team will rebound in a year...
