I realize that our numbers may be down because of Spring Break, but hopefully some new people will take advantage of the warm weather and come on out. We will do our best to get some extra sticks to accommodate new players (check out this offer if you want to get your own) and will most likely spend our time working on passing, catching, and maybe shooting. No doubt we will play some Ultimate Lacrosse, but it is unlikely we will play a full field game. Of course we will consider playing a field game if everyone has their pads and helmets and we have some sort of goal to shoot at. Valley players are especially encouraged to attend as this will give them more stick time which will only make them better players.
I'm itching to get out and play since this will be my last opportunity before the Valley games begin next week. Don't worry though; we still plan on trying to run Toss Arounds during away games and off weeks!
For the first time, the Central Iowa Lacrosse Association will play at the official practice fields of the Valley Tigers Lacrosse Club! That's right - we'll meet at Valley Southwoods at 12:00 PM. This gives us more room and access to the goals if we want them! The Toss Around will probably go for a couple of hours. Contact me to let me know that you are coming and if you need a stick.
